Programmatic video, rendered from code
About
2 brand films for Proof of Quality, both built entirely in code with Remotion, so every cut is versioned, reviewable, and re-renderable when the message changes.
The first is a 64-second, 7-scene commercial with a 3D dotted-sphere backdrop rendered headlessly through React Three Fiber and 20 ElevenLabs voiceover clips placed at frame-precise positions. The second is a tighter seller cut that went through 2 rounds of team feedback before sign-off.
Process
Narrative first
Both films follow the same argument the sales deck makes: define quality as a rubric, evaluate against it, prove the result downstream. Copy was iterated with the team until the payoff card read exactly as the company says it.
A voiceover pipeline, not takes
A Node tool generates narration through ElevenLabs (with an OpenAI TTS fallback), cleans each take with an ffmpeg chain (high-pass, denoise, silence trim, loudness normalization), measures the result, and code-generates the frame timings that drive clip placement and music ducking. Re-record one line, and the timeline re-times itself.
Music from scratch
The seller cut's bed is synthesized by a script: a 120 BPM pulse with kick, hat, pluck, and pad voices generated as raw waveform math and mapped cue-by-cue to the composition, so the music hits where the edit does.
Feedback as diffs
Because the films are code, team feedback (calmer transitions, no sound effects, a rebuilt end card where the logo assembles cell-by-cell from its own SVG geometry) landed as reviewable edits, not re-shoots.
Outcome
Both films shipped and approved: a 64-second commercial and a 23-second seller cut, built solo in days, with an audio pipeline the next film inherits for free.
